Event planning

Event planning is something I have always been passionate about and decided to do part-time as a hobby before turning it into a business.

Don’t start planning your next event without reading these 4 steps:

Please take note this is just an overview of some of the steps you’ll need to follow when planning an event, without consultation I can not identify all of the details you’ll need to think about (since much of it will depend on the type of event you are holding). But, I hope the following provides a starting point for your event planning :-).

Step 1: Develop Event Goal and Objectives

The very first step is to come up with a tangible goal and objectives (for example, why are you organizing this event and what do you hope to achieve?)

Step 2: Organize a Team

Any event takes a team effort to handle all of the details. Consider identifying one key Event Manager (for example, me Miss Faith Munthali :-)). The event manager would be responsible for organizing the following:

  • the venue;
  • the decor;
  • the food
  • the MC;
  • entertainment;
  • the photographer;
  • invitations;

Step 3: Set a date

Ensure you consider the following before you set a date:

  • Give yourself enough time!
  • Check availability dates with key participants e.g. the guests and event planner

Step 4: Set a budget

Your budget should include realistic estimates for all of the key items you will need to make your event successful. Don’t forget to include any costs for the venue, MC, photographer, entertainment and so on.

To ensure that your event runs smoothly you can contact me on faithmunthali2@gmail.com and I will offer my affordable services.

My job is to cover every aspect in the process of planning an event (from start to finish) to make your life less stressful 🙂 and to ensure your event is a success.
